Massachusetts Law requires an Annual Street listing of residents as of January 1st each year (M.G.L. Ch. 51 § 4) which is derived from the Annual Town Census.
Responding to the Annual Census keeps your voting status active. Even if you are not a registered voter, responding to the census will ensure that the Town Clerk’s Office can provide you with proof of residency.
