Games Galore Week 7



The Commonwealth of Massachusetts recently released the long awaited Recreation Camp  and Recreation Program  guidance.  We thank you for your patience.  This 32-page detailed document; “ Massachusetts Child and Youth Serving Programs Re-Open Approach:  Minimum Requirements for Health and Safety” has been fully reviewed by The Westwood Recreation Department with the support of the Director of Public Health, other Town officials and the Westwood Public Schools.  Keeping health and safety in mind, The Westwood Recreation Department, is pleased to announce the following recreation programs will run this summer:

  • Summer Camp (Except Starfish) Weeks 2-6 only (weeks 1 & 7 are cancelled) Location: Martha Jones Elementary School
  • Counselor in Training: WKs 2-6 Location: Martha Jones Elementary School
  • Baseball Clinics—WKs 4-6 WHS – Baseball Field
  • Tennis Lessons: WKs 2-6 WHS – Tennis Courts
  • Tennis Clinics: WKs 2-6 WHS – Tennis Courts
  • Dog Training Programs: Jul 7-Aug 13 Location: Pet Providers
  • Boot Camp: Jun 23-Aug 6 Location: WHS – Multi Purpose Field

    There are still openings for the programs mentioned above. If you would like to register, we will be re-opening registration beginning on Saturday June 13th at 9:00am.

    It is with a heavy heart that we announce the following programs have been canceled this summer:

Refunds will be processed for all cancelled programs.

Detail on all Aquatic Programming will be sent under separate cover.

Out of an abundance of caution the Recreation Department office, Pool and Pool Lobby will be physically closed beginning on Monday,March 16, 2020 until further notice. All programs during this time are canceled.  Some staff members are available to answer calls and respond to e-mails. Thank you
