Until further notice: All Fields (Town or School Property and including the High School and Deerfield Tracks), Playgrounds, Tennis Courts and Basketball Courts are CLOSED

The following public buildings are closed to the public: Town Hall, Public Library, Council on Aging, ICC/Youth & Family Services, Carby Street which includes Public Works, Building Department and Economic Development, Recreation Department including the pool.  

A green drop box is located in front of Town Hall for residents to drop off payments and other correspondence.  

*Monday, April 6th begins Yard Waste Pick Up and there is no delay in the Trash & Recycle schedule*

HELP KEEP WASTE MANAGEMENT TRASH COLLECTORS SAFE - PLEASE BAG YOUR TRASH. Due to increased concerns for our workers safety because of COVID 19, we ask that all residents place all household trash in bags before placing in your trash container then setting them at the curb for collection.  Please be sure all bags are properly sealed to prevent contents from spilling.  REMINDER Laytex gloves go in the trash-Not your recycling container.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Drivers appreciate it!

The goal of the Department of Public Works (DPW) is to provide quality of life in Westwood by operating and maintaining the Town’s infrastructure and assets in a sustainable, efficient manner to protect the public's health and well being; provide for the environmental, economic, and social needs of the community; and beautify our town.

The Town’s infrastructure includes: the sewer collection system; storm drain system; roadways, sidewalks, bikeways, and other transportation facilities; street lighting and traffic control devices; buildings, grounds, fields, and parks; cemeteries; solid waste and recycling programs; municipal vehicles and equipment; and public facilities.

The Director of Public Works is responsible for overall management of the department's operations.
