Mission Statement

To provide for conscientious and orderly land use development through Comprehensive Planning, Subdivision Control and Zoning Bylaw and Zoning Map review; develop and implement land use development and growth management regulations consistent with the goals and policies of the Town; protect the natural resources, safety and aesthetic character of the Westwood through environmental impact and design review/site plan review and the issuance of special permits pursuant to the Zoning Bylaw; and to encourage healthy, safe, and equitable development in the community.

Meetings

Meetings are held remotely 1-2 times per month and filmed live by Westwood Media Center. Watch live on Comcast channel 6, Verizon channel 42, Westwood Media Center's YouTube, or Zoom. The Board invites participation via Zoom or phone using the information posted on the Town calendar and in the meeting packet.

Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee is a subcommittee of the Planning Board and advises the Planning Board on issues related to pedestrians and walk-ability.
