The Town of Westwood's Housing & Zoning Division maintains an inventory of affordable housing units that are owned and operated privately. In collaboration with the Housing Partnership, the Housing & Zoning Agent monitors these units and ensures their qualification for entry on the State of Massachusetts' Subsidized Housing Inventory (SHI).
As of the most recent version of the SHI, the Town of Westwood has exceeded its 10% Affordable Housing Goal, as defined by the State of Massachusetts' Chapter 40B, or Comprehensive Permit Law. The Town is proud of this accomplishment and looks forward to continuing its efforts to expand the availability of safe, affordable homes for residents in Westwood.
