Dedham-Westwood Water District Shares An Update On Water Restrictions
Dedham and Westwood Drought Declaration Downgraded from Level 1, Mild Drought to Level 0, Normal Conditions; With the Change in the Drought Declaration, Level 0 – Voluntary Water Restrictions to Take Effect on Monday, June 16
Dedham, MA— On Tuesday, June 10, the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA)/Drought Management Task Force downgraded the drought declaration for the Southeast Region of the Commonwealth from Level 1 Significant Drought Conditions to Level 0, Normal Conditions.
With the change in drought conditions, effective Monday, June 16, the District will implement Level 0—Voluntary Water Restrictions. Level 0 is voluntary unless otherwise declared by the Commonwealth.
Customers are requested to water no more than one day a week, before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m., based on the first letter of your street name.
The voluntary watering schedule is based on the first letter of the street name of the service address:
- Monday: Street names beginning with A through C
- Tuesday: Street names beginning with D through j
- Thursday: Street names begining with K through R
- Friday: Street names beginning with S through Z
