WESTWOOD MEDIA CENTER LIVE STREAM OF SELECT BOARD MEETING:

The meeting will be live streamed by Westwood Media Center and the public can view the meeting here. Our government channels will be broadcasting the meeting on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42.

 The public is encouraged to watch our meeting via Westwood Media Center live stream and join via Zoom webinar as instructed below. The public will be allowed to make comments, if they wish to do so, during the portions of the meeting designated for public comment.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so, despite our best efforts, we will post on the town website, www.townhall.westwood.ma.us, an audio or video recording,  or transcript, as soon as practicable after the meeting.

The Westwood Select Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 7:30 pm, a remote meeting through Zoom due to the COVID-19 State of Emergency and in compliance with the Governor’s March 12, 2020 Order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law MGL C. 30A, §18 and the Governor’s March 23, 2020 Emergency Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place. The meeting will be filmed live by Westwood Media Center available for viewing on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42. Those wishing to participate in this Public Hearing are encouraged to use Zoom.

This petition is filed by NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a EVERSOURCE ENERGY for the purpose of obtaining a Grant of Location to install approximately 60 +/- of conduit to provide new electric service to 266-278 Washington Street. Plans made by A. Debenedictis dated March 28, 2020 and filed herewith, under the following public way or ways of said Town:

To construct, and a location for, such a line of conduits and manholes with the necessary wires and cables therein, said conduits and manholes to be located:

Washington Street- Southeasterly approximately 288 +/- feet north of School Street

Install approximately 60 +/- of conduit

The plans and petition are available for viewing on the Town Website under Calendar event, Select Board meeting June 15, 2020. As of this posting, the June 15, 2020 Select Board meeting will be held via remote participation, subject to change.

REQUEST for CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

M.G.L. CHAPTER 138, SECTION 15

The Select Board, as Local Licensing Authority, will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 7:30 PM by remote meeting through Zoom due to the COVID-19 state of emergency and in compliance with the Governor’s March 12, 2020 Order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law MGL C. 30A, §18 and the Governor’s March 23 Emergency Order imposing limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place.  The meeting will be filmed live by Westwood Media Center available for viewing on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42.  Those wishing to participate are encouraged to use Zoom.

The purpose of the hearing will be to consider a request from Wegmans Massachusetts, Inc. d/b/a Wegmans for a change of ownership on their existing Section 15 alcohol license at 169 University Avenue Westwood, MA  02090.

All interested parties are invited to join the public hearing and make their views known to the Select Board.
