On Monday, December 17, 2018, the Board of Selectmen voted to begin the process to officially change it's name from "Board of Selectmen" to Select Board. This will include references to members as follows:
Chairman will be known as "Chair"
Selectmen will be known as "Select Member"
The next step in the process is to amend the Town's Charter. The Board has tenatively placed an article on the 2019 Annual Town Meeting Warrant to vote this Charter Amendment. Subsequent to an affirmative vote, a ballot question will be put to vote at the next general election.
