Selectmen Recognize Westwood Golf Team, Swim Team and Employees with 25 Years of Service

At the Board of Selectmen's Meeting on Monday, January 9, 2012, the Board of Selectmen recognized many individuals in Westwood. 
The Board recognized the Westwood Golf Team who were State Champions this past season and their coach Matt Gillis who was named Coach of the Year.  Coach Gillis also mentioned that the team was voted the Sportsmanship Award by the Tri-Valley League Coaches. The Board then recognized two members of the Swim Team who also were State Champions.  Both teams were presented with special gifts from the members. 
The Board congratulated the two teams for their achievements and expressed their gratitude for their representation of not only their teams, but their school and the community as a whole.
The Board also recognized four employees for their 25 years of service to the Town of Westwood.  Ellen Hurley, the Procurement Agent and most recently the Executive Assistant, Lt. Leo Hoban from the Westwood Police Department, Cpt. Richard Cerullo from the Fire Department and Margaret Sykes, a Traffic Supervisor for the Police Department. The Board thanked the employees for their dedicated service to the Town and presented them with certificates and clocks.
