Public Works Overview

The goal of the Department of Public Works (DPW) is to provide quality of life in Westwood by operating and maintaining the Town’s infrastructure and assets in a sustainable, efficient manner to protect the public's health and well being; provide for the environmental, economic, and social needs of the community; and beautify our town.  The Town’s infrastructure includes the sewer collection system; storm drain system, roadways, sidewalks, bikeways, and other transportation facilities, street lighting, traffic control devices, buildings, grounds, fields, parks, cemeteries, solid waste and recycling programs, municipal vehicles and equipment, and public facilities.
