Westwood is a town of more than 14,000 people, located just 12 miles southwest of Boston. The town is convenient to Routes 95 and 128, and two commuter rail lines. In addition to an excellent location, Westwood is recognized for the quality of its schools, which includes 5 elementary schools, Thurston Middle School and a new Westwood High School. The town also includes a senior center, conservation areas, playgrounds, ball fields and an indoor pool facility. There are numerous Community sponsored events for the town's residents including a very active Recreation Department.
